Like a waning moon, we’re three-quarters done …

Not the best simile I’ve ever constructed, but hey, it’s the best I can manage right now. (Although I’d be very happy to hear any suggestions for other three-quarter things – leave your suggestions in the comments!)

Just six hours to go before the competition is over. We’ve got seventy-odd entries in so far, so on track to smash last year’s total. Last time I check the site stats there had been over 300 hits to the competition page, so I’m bracing for a deluge of last-minute entries. Which is of course what the last minute is for, so don’t give up if you’re still struggling – take a break, go for a walk, go to some Poetry Day events, whatever works for you. Some part of your brain has been working away at these words all day, so hang in there!
